Harnett Mini-Aero Club Safety Rules

(In addition to the AMA Safety Code posted at the field)
Deliberately flying behind the flight line is prohibited.
Each transmitter (except 2.4 Ghz) shall display proper identification and pin before operation.
Do NOT taxi aircraft in the pit area. (aircraft is to be pushed or carried to entrance to runway)
No Spectators are permitted beyond spectator area unless permission is given by an officer and escorted by a member.
First time flights for new or repaired aircraft is to be made with only that aircraft flying at that time until flight is complete. (No maiden flights or testing repaired aircraft to be operated during an event.)
Takeoffs and landings shall be made with the prevailing traffic pattern.
The use of or flying while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs on the club premises is forbidden and you WILL lose your membership.
The shelter can be used to assemble/maintenance/repair aircraft. (No engines are to be tested/started under shelter)
Aircraft is to be properly restrained while starting and testing engine. (Using a rope tied to aircraft is not allowed as a restraint)
Precautions should be taken to prevent prop blast from blowing towards anyone.
Fly-bys, less than 25 feet in altitude, may be made under the following conditions:
Fly-bys shall be in the direction of the flow of traffic.
Fly-bys shall be verbally announced and ceased if objected to by the other pilots in flight.
High speed passes shall be center-line of the runway.
Low speed passes shall be at the minimum of 20 feet from pilot station (preferably center-line of runway.)
Anyone that needs to access the field for any reason is to announce and await confirmation and approval be entering field. Announce when coming off of field as well.
Flyers should have their current AMA membership card with them. (on the spot checking will be done)
